@ Hon. Seun’s release
Tagged:on the assault of the Union pro by Prof. Y.k Yusuf
On Hon.seun’s Character:
I make bold to say u seem not capable of even being a Union officer. The character u displayed at the English part 2 class in ODLT was more of a thuggish act and not the intellectual approach great Ife students are known for. You came in with disrespect and disregard for anybody ranting in Yoruba and in a thuggish manner. Hon.Seun I know we did not vote a tout, pls repent.
On Learning and culture:
In all you just outlined in your writeup is there any line in which you roled in the place of learning and culture, how dare any body in the name of union officer try to disrespect an old Professor,or would you deny that the Professor did not tell him to leave the class more than once, was that not disobedience, if a union officer can not respect an elder due to the power he thinks he has how would he respect a common student.
On your language assault:
Please maybe we ve to define assault here, would u call for instance a situation where a disobedient union officer is disrupting the class lecture and was practically cuddled or romanced out of the hall an assault. Be sincere when you talk to OAU students, there was no assault as that.
On the union move to break the lecturer’s door:
Respect is reciprocal my union officers, how dare you try to break the door of a Professor of the great OAU,you should ve tried it and face the wrath of students and management collectively,
what were even in your minds? were u hoping to drag the man out and deal with him or parade him or moderate his case,
We all have fathers I guess!!!
On General TY’s unguarded tongue:
It is no longer news that this general thinks he would graduate and use this power outside of school. Please we need to know what gave this our President the impetus to put a threat to the old professor that “if the Prof does not apologise to the Union in 24hours,that he can not guarantee his security”.
What rubbish, who would tell his dad to apologise for knowingly or unknowingly stepping on him.
Where is the culture.
I gallantly stand with the students in the department of English who demand an apology for their Professor.
I am aware that a letter was sent to the union by the Congress of NASELS requesting that the union sends a letter of apology to Professor Y.K Yusuf, before the end of Thursday 20th november.
#SAY NO TO DISOBEDIENCE AND DISRESPECT #
THEREFORE PROFESSOR Y.K YUSUF WOULD NOT WRITE ANY APOLOGY LETTER RATHER THE UNION WILL WRITE AN APOLOGY LETTER TO HIM AND EVEN COME TO HIS OFFICE TO APOLOGISE.I SO SUBMIT
I do not want to foresee an imminent proscription of the union if power continues to take away our culture.
