The Nigerian Navy on Monday,February 22,in Lagos ,paraded six suspected pirates for hijacking an oil tanker.
The chief of Naval training and operations, Rear admiral Henry Babalola said that the suspected pirates were arrested around Sao Tome after the gang had hijacked the vessel of the coast of Cote d’voire.
Babalola also said the arrest was made after a fiery gun battle with the naval forces,which left a suspect dead.
He further warned pirates to desist from such illegal acts or face the wrath of the law.
