FG scraps Post-utme.

The Federal government of Nigeria has on Thursday, 2nd June 2016 overruled the conduct of Postutme by Tertiary institutions.
It was declared by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, in Abuja after declaring open the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on Admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria.
The minister expressed confidence in Jamb, & concluded that there was no need for another examination to be conducted after Jamb.
The government further explained that all tertiary institutions were at liberty to conduct screening for candidates seeking admission into any school.
They also declared that 180 should be the cutoff marks for schools except those like OAU, UI, and UNILAG who have over time been using 200 as their cutoff marks but that other institutions shouldn’t go below 180 again.
